MP 2009 portrait BWDr. Michael Parenti, who earned his Ph.D. in political science from Yale University is the author of twenty-five books including The Face of Imperialism, Democracy for the Few, and Waiting for Yesterday. His works cover a wide range of subjects, including politics, history, empire, wealth, class power, culture, ideology, media, environment, gender, and ethnic life.

1360850373-david_cobb01David Cobb is on the National Leadership Team of the Move To Amend Coalition. He is a lawyer and political activist, and was the Green Party Candidate for President in 2004. David has sued corporate polluters and lobbied elected officials, and has been arrested for non-violent civil disobedience.  He truly believes we must use ALL the tools in the toolbox to effect the systemic social change we so desperately need. He will explain the nationwide campaign to adopt the We the People (28th) Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, that will remove Corporate Person hood and declare that Money Is Not Speech.

Larry-3Pamm Larry is leader in the Label GMOs movement. She and thousands of other food safety activists successfully placed Proposition 37, to require the labeling of genetically modified foods (GMOs), on California’s 2012 General Election Ballot. She will be talking about that and present campaigns to give the people an informed choice in what we eat. We will examine the role of Big Corporate Money, including Monsanto’s, in barely defeating Prop 37, which won over 48% of the vote of Californians.

  1. Hi David, met you twice in SacCA. 4yr.CoorDiscloseAct, Sacramento. Would host any of you; ref: Jan Ellen. Glad unity seen in new Sierra Club Pres Mair and rainbow of love shown for victims of church/police, MoEmanuel/Baltimore victims of violence.
I’m now studying @SDSNedu; Please know we’re going to need growth of unity to mitigate Global Warming, Equitably. The most important issues, COP21 PARIS’15 affected by bad Citizens United dec. and lack of Disclosure, is climate change. Our children will and do DIE of it. New thinking required of us as well as our LOVE. Know it can be difficult. Be well, each of you and please bone up on United Nations efforts of 40 years, this year.
