Why America Needs Bernie Sanders; with Peter Mathews, Author of Dollar Democracy: with Liberty and Justice for Some; How to Reclaim the American Dream for All
(805 views) Produced and directed by Melanie Fisher, this captivating interview with Peter Mathews, the Author (Dollar Democracy: with Liberty and Justice for Some; How to Reclaim the American Dream for All), Bernie Sanders supporter, Political Analyst, College Professor, and Activist makes a strong case for why America and the world need Bernie in the White House. In the video, Mathews clearly and simply explains key issues for which Bernie is fighting, and why it is absolutely necessary for Americans to join and help lead Bernie’s and our Political Revolution. As Communications Coordinator for Bernie Sanders for President 2016, Don Mersel, wrote on Facebook on October 7, 2015, “Peter Mathews wrote an extremely compelling book that helps us understand the philosophy of Bernie Sanders. Bernie Sanders wants you to read Peter Mathews’ brilliant book Dollar Democracy.”

Press Release: Radio and Television Political Analyst, Peter Mathews, concluded his Northern California book signing/townhall tour Monday, August 10th, with two major events: He began with an interview with Mitch Jeserich, the renowned host of “Letters and Politics”, a widely aired show broadcast on Pacifica’s stations across the United States, including KPFA 94.1 FM in the San Francisco Bay Area, KPFK 90.7 FM in Los Angeles, and WBAI 99.5 FM in New York.
Also, Peter Mathews was hosted by Occupy San Francisco and Solar Justice at the headquarters of Global Exchange to discuss issues concerning the economy and President Obama’s secretive trade alliance and now infamous Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) which Peter called “NAFTA on Steroids” in the latest edition of his book, Dollar Democracy. Mathews also focused on how to create new high paying jobs in the U.S. by developing alternative energy such as solar, wind, and tide power while abandoning fossil fuels, as is being successfully done by Germany and China.
Many diverse public interest and labor organizations have opposed the TPP measure. They believe it is a threat to national security, our environment, jobs, medicine and health, and caters to multinational corporations who have drafted the measure. Those who oppose the measure, including Mathews, believe the measure would threaten the national sovereignty of the U.S. and the other nations involved, by giving too much authority to large multinational businesses over trade deals.
Peter Mathews has warned the public about these problems in the second edition of his book, Dollar Democracy: With Liberty and Justice for Some; How to Reclaim the American Dream for All.
